About Us

BHcare is dedicated to improving the lives and health of the individuals, families and communities it serves by providing comprehensive mental health and addiction services for adults and children, domestic violence services and education and prevention. BHcare is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, is Joint Commission Accredited and designated by the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services as the Local Mental Health Authority for the Shoreline towns of Branford, Guilford, East Haven, Madison, North Branford and North Haven. The BHcare Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services is the Shoreline's only comprehensive domestic violence program. The BHcare Alliance for Prevention and Wellness serves as the Shoreline's Regional Behavioral Health Action Organization. The BHcare Parent Child Resource Center is licensed by the Department of Children and Families and provides a multi-disciplinary approach to problems associated with behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties of children and youth aged 3 to 18. The Center specializes in anxiety, depression, mood swings, school avoidance/conflict, ADD/ADHD, trauma, and more.
