About Us

BHcare is dedicated to improving the lives and health of the individuals, families and communities it serves by providing comprehensive mental health and addiction services for adults and children, domestic violence services and education and prevention. BHcare is designated by the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services as the Local Mental Health Authority for the Shoreline towns of Branford, Guilford, East Haven, Madison, North Branford and North Haven. BHcare's Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services is the Shoreline's only comprehensive domestic violence program. BHcare's Alliance for Prevention and Wellness serves as the Shoreline's Regional Behavioral Health Action Organization. Our Parent Child Resource Center, now open in North Branford, provides a multi-disciplinary approach to problems associated with behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties of children and youth aged 3 to 18. We specialize in anxiety, depression, mood swings, school avoidance/conflict, ADD/ADHD, trauma, and more.
