VOLUNTEERS WANTED

Posted: 10/24/2025

The Shoreline Village CT is celebrating 25 Years of the Village Movement, which empowers local seniors to live independently with community support, connection, and purposeful aging. To fulfill our mission, we invite you to join our team of dedicated volunteers—your time and kindness can help your neighbors stay safe, healthy, and supported in their own homes.

Volunteers are needed for these essential roles:

  • Light tech support: Assist members with tasks like setting up smartphones, email, printers, and video calls.

  • Light home maintenance: Change a hard-to-reach lightbulb, help with minor fixes, or organize a cluttered shelf.

  • Friendly drives: Offer a ride to a doctor’s appointment, pharmacy, or grocery store, making essential errands possible for members who no longer drive.

  • Brief check-in visits or calls: Simply check in by phone or drop by for a friendly chat, bringing companionship and peace of mind to seniors who may not have family nearby.

Just one hour of your time can make a profound difference—often, it’s the small acts that mean the most. No special certifications needed; just a big heart, a willingness to help, and joy in meeting new people.

Joining as a volunteer is a wonderful way to build community, make new friends, and bring a smile to someone’s day. Whether you have a flexible schedule or can help once a month, we welcome you!
