The Women & Family Life Center is hosting their annual signature fundraising event, the empowHer gala, on Thursday, March 23rd, at 5:30 pm at the Woodwinds in Branford.  

If you don't know about the Women & Family Life Center, for over 30 years, W&FLC has been a beacon of hope for families who are experiencing divorce, domestic violence, homelessness, bereavement, financial hardships, or other life-changing transitions on the Connecticut Shoreline. 

The empowHer gala: A gala to change lives and inspire others will highlight the Center's work in the community and the clients we are so fortunate to work with daily. Come celebrate those among us who imagined a better life. Armed with courage, they found their way to our door, programs, and services. Finding support and empowerment at the Center, they discovered a path to growth and their imagined life.

Attendees will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, complimentary wine and beer, a sit-down dinner, a live and silent auction, entertainment, and a special program presentation entitled The Imagined Life. Join your Shoreline community, empowHering one another throughout the evening. 

Get a group of friends together, bring your colleagues, or make it a family affair. But whatever you do, DON'T miss this empowHering event!

W&FLC hopes to raise $80,000 through sponsorships, ticket sales, and our auctions. All proceeds directly benefit the Center's programs and services. The W&FLC does not charge for its programs, workshops, or services. Last year W&FLC provided over 5,600 individual services to over 500 participants on the shoreline and received over 700 referral calls.
