Join us for an elegant and heartfelt celebration honoring 125 years of service and connection through the Branford Electric Railway. This special evening at The Woodwinds in Branford promises an inspiring blend of dining, dancing, and community spirit. Enjoy an hors d’oeuvres reception, gourmet buffet dinner featuring a prime-rib carving station, wine, soft drinks, dessert and much more – all while celebrating the history, legacy, and ongoing vitality of our beloved trolley line.
The highlight of the afternoon will be a keynote address by Jane Bouley, Branford Town Historian, a revered local historian whose decades-long research has profoundly shaped our understanding of Branford’s past. From her comprehensive two-volume work on Branford’s Center Cemetery to her authoritative book The Civil War Soldiers of Branford, Connecticut, North Branford and Northford, Jane’s storytelling uniquely brings to life the people and places that connect us across time
This event is more than a milestone, it’s a celebration of community, continuity, and the links that span generations. Through dining, dancing, and shared stories, we reaffirm our commitment to preserving the legacy and spirit of the Shore Line Trolley for the next 125 years and beyond.
