Scarecrow Building Contest: On Saturday, September 28th Guilford Parks & Recreation and Guilford Youth & Family Services will hold its annual Scarecrow Building Contest. Businesses will have an opportunity to build a scarecrow that represents their business which will then be displayed on the town green. $25.00 fee per scarecrow. Please bring your scarecrow to the green (across from Page’s Hardware) between 10:00 a.m. and noon for placement. Voting takes place on the Town of Guilford Facebook page – the most “liked” scarecrow is the winner and the business/organization will receive a plaque to be displayed for a year in their business! Proceeds benefit It’s Worth It. A Guilford DAY Initiative. Guilford DAY and its supporters help Guilford youth make positive choices, ultimately reducing drug and alcohol use.
